THe Sioux City international film festival

Since 2005, the Sioux City International Film Festival has showcased a variety of independent short films from all the around world. Each day of the Festival a different genre of film is featured. Those films in addition to being judged by a jury are also judged separately by the audience at the end of each presentation. Cash prizes and trophies will be given to the juried selections and to the audience favorites in each category.  An additional Best of Festival Award will be given on the final day.

Our Mission

Promoting independent films and filmmakers to the people of Sioux City and the surrounding region.

The festival committee is friendly and efficient. They really care which is very refreshing. If you are a filmmaker and get into their festival, I highly recommend attending.

The region has over 130,000 people, and thousands more living nearby. For the 15th year in a row, we will be bringing the Siouxland community together for the Sioux City International Film Festival to promote independent films and filmmakers to the people of Sioux City and the surrounding region.
